Una delle peculiarità di Peyron è che spesso tendeva a dare una personificazione alle sue composizioni ed in questo caso perfino il titolo dell’opera ci aiuta nell’interpretazione.

Quasi sicuramente la titolazione è avvenuta dopo che il dipinto era compiuto, ma d’altro canto non possiamo che capirne la visione, forse un po’ romantica, del tutto.

Gli sposi sono rappresentati dalla bottiglia nera alta, lo sposo, mentre il vaso bianco impreziosito dal bouquet rosa è la sposa, laterali i “testimoni”.

La semplicità, genuinità ed unicità di un pittore si esprime anche per queste particolarità.

One of Peyron’s peculiarities is that he often tended to personify his compositions, and in this case even the title of the work helps us in the interpretation.

Almost certainly the titling took place after the painting was completed, but on the other hand we can only understand the perhaps somewhat romantic vision of it all.

The bride and groom are represented by the tall black bottle, the groom, while the white vase embellished with the pink bouquet is the bride, lateral the “witnesses.”

The simplicity, genuineness and uniqueness of a painter is also expressed by these particularities.
