La piccola fattoria che compare all’orizzonte sembra quasi una bambina timida che nasconde il volto tra le fronde degli alberi.

Minuta e riservata cerca di camuffare la sua presenza nel tentativo di attuare un mimetismo non riuscito per un soffio.

I colori pastello che definiscono la radura in primo piano si schiariscono man mano verso lo sfondo, rasentando il più candido pallore dato dalla luce.

L’orizzonte si accende di vita e dinamismo, la delicatezza precedente si trasforma in fervido entusiasmo dove le tonalità diventano sempre più variegate, le spatolate si fanno vorticose ed il colore che descrive gli alberi si avvinghia all’azzurro del cielo in un abbraccio intenso ed indissolubile.

A porre una linea di demarcazione è la fenditura orizzontale eseguita col chiodo, con cui Scatizzi si firma, incidendo il colore fino a riportare in luce la trama della tela.

The small farm that appears on the horizon looks almost like a shy child hiding her face among the branches of the trees.

Petite and reserved, she tries to camouflage her presence in an attempt at mimicry that falls just short of success.

The pastel colours that define the clearing in the foreground gradually lighten towards the background, approaching the purest whiteness created by the light.

The horizon lights up with life and dynamism, the previous delicacy transforming into fervent enthusiasm where the shades become increasingly varied, the brushstrokes become swirling and the colour describing the trees clings to the blue of the sky in an intense and indissoluble embrace.

A dividing line is created by the horizontal slit made with a nail, with which Scatizzi signs his name, engraving the colour until the texture of the canvas is revealed.
