Un’opera informale dai caratteri eleganti e sofisticati.

Una pacata sinfonia sui toni del rosa e dei grigi, ma in cui facilmente trovare sottili striature verde tiffany e prugna.

Cremose spatolate plasmano la materia secondo la volontà del pittore che, come un direttore d’orchestra, armonizza i vari componenti per giungere ad un componimento corale.

In questo approccio polistrumentista non vengono ostacolati dei brevi assoli, quei giusti accenti che vivacizzano e movimentano una altrimenti fin troppo marcata quiete.

Spesso nelle opere informali di Sergio Scatizzi emerge la volontà dell’artista di voler esaltare la bellezza del colore attraverso il suo gesto, altre volte questo bilanciamento è ribaltato a favore della gestualità.

Decifrare un dipinto completamente informale, come in questo caso, non è semplice, tutto parte da una percezione profonda e personale, gergalmente detta “di pancia” e da lì si può partire ad aggiungere tasselli.

A calm symphony in shades of pink and grey, but in which subtle streaks of Tiffany green and plum are easily found.

Creamy brushstrokes shape the material according to the painter’s will, who, like an orchestra conductor, harmonises the various components to achieve a choral composition.

In this multi-instrumentalist approach, short solos are not hindered, those right accents that enliven and animate an otherwise overly marked quietness.

Sergio Scatizzi’s informal works often reveal the artist’s desire to enhance the beauty of colour through his gestures, while at other times this balance is reversed in favour of gesturality.

Deciphering a completely informal painting, as in this case, is not easy. It all starts with a deep and personal perception, colloquially referred to as “gut feeling”, and from there you can begin to add pieces to the puzzle.
