Le carte spesso subiscono il loro essere considerate opere di “serie b” in quanto la qualità del supporto viene considerata meno pregiata rispetto a tavole o tele, inoltre possono più facilmente subire le alterazioni climatiche e del tempo.

L’inferiorità delle carte è una cosa tutta italiana, all’estero l’approccio dei collezionisti è assolutamente paritario, anzi molti amano concentrarsi proprio su esse.

Tra esse però è possibile trovare certe delicatezze che solo la carta può dare.

La carta, nel caso di questo vaso di fiori, riesce a dare una sorta di maggior risalto al tratto del pittore, in grado di scivolare con agile freschezza sulla superficie liscia, senza intralciarne le sinuose flessioni.

L’innato e maggior candore dato dal bianco della carta riesce inoltre ad infondere una sorta di diversa luminosità ai colori che subiscono meno le variazioni cromatiche mentre si imparentano col supporto durante la fase di asciugatura.

Papers are often considered ‘second-rate’ works because the quality of the medium is considered less valuable than boards or canvases, and they are also more susceptible to climatic and weather changes.

The inferiority of cards is an entirely Italian phenomenon; abroad, collectors treat them as equals, and many even prefer to focus on them.

Among them, however, it is possible to find certain delicacies that only paper can provide.

In the case of this vase of flowers, the paper manages to give greater prominence to the painter’s brushstrokes, which glide with agile freshness over the smooth surface without hindering its sinuous curves.

The innate and greater candour given by the white of the paper also manages to infuse a sort of different luminosity to the colours, which undergo fewer chromatic variations as they bond with the medium during the drying phase.
