Un azzurro polvere dai toni squillanti pervade l’intera scena.

Questo delizioso colore del cielo sfuma docilmente, senza sobbalzi, accarezzando lo squarcio marino in lontananza ed i vigorosi impasti che definiscono estrose conifere variopinte.

La composizione, ha un andamento orizzontale che si estende su più livelli. 

A porsi come linea di confine tra l’empireo e la distesa erbosa troviamo il mare, che appare non placido come converrebbe ai toni della scena, ma ravvivato da un moto ondoso consistente da cui scaturisce quell’abbondante schiuma bianca.

La posata quiete di quel cielo pare riflettersi nella fascia centrale della campagna, interrotta solo dall’energica striscia arborea a cui fa eco il fremito dei papaveri rossi in primo piano.

Fiori rossi indefiniti atti solo a creare quella macchia cremisi affinché il colpo d’occhio perda di continuità, e quindi di monotonia.

Un astuto escamotage cromatico definito da due fendenti, eseguiti col canonico chiodo, che scavando porta in luce proprio quell’azzurro del cielo.

A bright powder blue pervades the entire scene.

This delightful sky colour fades gently, without sudden changes, caressing the sea in the distance and the vigorous blends that define the whimsical, colourful conifers.

The composition has a horizontal pattern that extends over several levels.

Acting as a boundary between the empyrean and the grassy expanse is the sea, which does not appear as placid as the tones of the scene would suggest, but is enlivened by a consistent wave motion that produces abundant white foam.

The calm tranquillity of the sky seems to be reflected in the central strip of countryside, interrupted only by the energetic strip of trees echoed by the fluttering red poppies in the foreground.

Indefinite red flowers serve only to create a crimson patch so that the eye loses continuity and, therefore, monotony.

A clever chromatic trick defined by two slashes, executed with the canonical nail, which, as it digs, brings to light the blue of the sky.
