Le brulle colline senesi si accendono dei colori che più le caratterizzano.

L’ocra viene declinato in tutte le sue nuance ed enfatizzato dai cespugli e dalle conifere oltre a qualche sparuta ed inattesa staccionata.

Questo interessante gioco di contrasti permette di enfatizzare al contempo la prospettiva della scena e la tridimensionalità dei declivi.

La bellezza del paesaggio agreste viene ancora una volta esaltata per farne riscoprire la quiete e l’armonia di cui è intrisa, stesse qualità che anche lo stesso Del Bravo, illustre storico dell’arte per il quale Scatizzi nutriva una sana, e reciproca, ammirazione, tentava di far riscoprire.

Un sentire puro, dell’animo, che ci porta alla contemplazione dell’elemento naturale, quel battito in grado di avvicinare la nostra esistenza alla bellezza del creato, dobbiamo solo tendere un po’ l’orecchio per poterlo sentire.

The barren hills of Siena are lit up with their most characteristic colours.

Ochre is used in all its shades and emphasised by bushes and conifers, as well as a few sparse and unexpected fences.

This interesting play of contrasts emphasises both the perspective of the scene and the three-dimensionality of the slopes.

The beauty of the rural landscape is once again enhanced, allowing us to rediscover the tranquillity and harmony that permeate it, the same qualities that Del Bravo, the illustrious art historian for whom Scatizzi had a healthy, mutual admiration, attempted to rediscover.

A pure feeling of the soul that leads us to contemplate the natural element, that heartbeat that brings our existence closer to the beauty of creation. We only need to listen carefully to hear it.
