Non sappiamo chi sia la ragazza ritratta in questo dipinto di Silvio Loffredo, ma pensiamo possa trattarsi di una sua allieva, probabilmente finlandese dato che nel 1971 teneva un corso di pittura all’Accademia di Varkaus.

Loffredo, come testimoniano ancora oggi i suoi numerosissimi allievi, era solito avere un atteggiamento paritario con essi, così che ognuno potesse imparare dall’altro senza distinzione.

Il suo è stato sicuramente un approccio progressista ed indiscutibilmente umile, e questo non solo per allora ma anche per oggi, nonostante siano passati più di cinquant’anni.

Un ritratto realistico, i capelli rossi a caschetto, perfettamente profilati, gli occhi azzurri tradiscono una placida vitalità.

Per quanto riguarda la blusa blu a pois rossi, da colletto morbidamente sbottonato, trova nella firma una sorta di abbellimento aggiuntivo, posizionata un bavero di pizzo.

We do not know who the girl portrayed in this painting by Silvio Loffredo is, but we think she may be one of his students, probably Finnish, since he taught a painting course at the Academy of Varkaus in 1971.

Loffredo, as his numerous students still testify today, used to treat them as equals, so that everyone could learn from each other without distinction.

His approach was undoubtedly progressive and unquestionably humble, not only for that time but also for today, despite the fact that more than fifty years have passed.

A realistic portrait, with perfectly styled red bobbed hair and blue eyes that betray a placid vitality.

As for the blue blouse with red polka dots and a softly unbuttoned collar, the signature is embellished with a lace collar.
